    Web Accessibility Compliance

Web accessibility compliance refers to the systems brands and retailers put in place to ensure that people with disabilities can access their websites and that their practices align with accessibility regulations.

    What Is Web Accessibility Compliance?

Web accessibility involves making strategic adjustments to a website or web page to enable people with visual impairments or cognitive disabilities to engage with the site. The Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and other legislation require websites to include certain components to ensure web accessibility compliance.

In fact, the World Wide Web Consortium has outlined three levels of requirements for meeting web accessibility compliance. Level A compliance, for example, signifies that a business has removed some, but not all, barriers that people with disabilities might face. Level AAA involves more comprehensive actions, such as providing video captions, ensuring high color contrast, ensuring page resizability, allowing for keyboard navigation, and more.

These elements not only help businesses meet compliance requirements, but also help create a better user experience, which builds trust and loyalty.
