Guaranteed delivery is a shipping service in which brands or deliverers promise to deliver a package by a specific date.

What Is Guaranteed Delivery?

For many consumers, shopping online comes with some level of uncertainty about when they'll receive the items they order. This can disrupt the shopping experience, possibly even causing the consumer to shop elsewhere. Guaranteed delivery, on the other hand, provides transparency and — when done well — boosts loyalty. The service provides assurance during the checkout experience that the product or package will be delivered by a specific date. In some cases, if the brand or retailer doesn't meet that date, they'll provide the consumer with a credit or reward for their next order. Meeting the guaranteed delivery date, however, can reiterate the trustworthiness of the brand and strengthen the customer experience.
