DownloadSingle view of customer (SVOC) refers to the strategies brands use to analyze a shopper's buying behavior across all sales channels to derive one central and holistic profile of that customer.
Obtaining a single view of customer (SVOC) requires brands to have integrated systems that can collect, consolidate, and analyze customer data across all of their sales and marketing channels — including ecommerce sites, websites, mobile apps, and social media accounts. Customer relationship management (CRM) systems or marketing automation tools can aid in this process.
By using these systems to collect data from multiple sources and channels, brands can get a bird's-eye view of their customers' behaviors, needs, and interests, enabling them to create a holistic profile of each customer. This holistic profile — or a single view of customer (SVOC) — helps brands better understand what their customers need and want out of them. By analyzing this profile, brands can tailor their sales and marketing materials to effectively meet those needs.
